Recreation in the U.S

When And Why did the Americans being to recreate ?  
The Americans recreated at the end of the 19th century. They recreated because they were trying to get out of the industrialization movement and to enjoy a mass culture. Americans created amusment parks and bicycles for enjoyment. Women's clothing also became more relaxed so they can enjoy themselves.
What were the reasons that Americans began to recreate the same or different compared to americans today ?
The reasons they're the same is because corporations or companies try to find new ways to being enjoyment to the people, weather it be food or new inventions.
