Hardships during the depression

1)Describe the Dust Bowl; what caused it?
-The Dust Bowl was steady storms of dust pushing forward with no way to stop it. The Dust Bowl destroyed crops, leaving Earth dry and cracked. The Dust Bowl was caused by the removal of thick protective prairie grass. The Dust Bowl caused a drought which made crops unable to grow.
2)Describe how TGD (The Great Depression) affected:
(a)Children
-The TGD affected children by leaving them uneducated by shorting and closing schools.
(b)Families
-The TGD affected families by making it difficult for families to met ends meat and support their children. The difficultly to met ends meat also caused families to break up because, typically men, felt weak unable to support their wife and children.
(c)Women
-The TGD affected women by receiving less money than men. Women working also caused them to be the targets of resentment.
(d)Men
-The TGD affected men by causing them to feel unable to support their families.
(e)People of color
-The TGD affected people of color by making their unemployment rate higher.
3)Who were "hoboes," and how did they travel? 
-"Hoboes" were men who were transient and they traveled by hitching rides on railroad box cars and sleeping under bridges.
4)What was an enduring effect on people because of TGD?  
-The enduring effect on people because of TGD were that people never wanted to be poor again.
